Galataport Istanbul
Galataport Istanbul, world’s first underground ship terminal, is an investment that is transforming the historical city harbor into a world-class cruise liner port and touristic destination and is the largest project in Europe to receive the LEED platinum rating. The opened the promenade to public use for the first time in approximately two centuries, and offers a breathing, healthy, and safe environment for culture & arts, work, shopping, and dining. The project features an underground terminal using a hatch system, which is the first of its kind in the world. Galataport Istanbul is expected to welcome around 25 million visitors per year.

Galataport Istanbul is a major landmark project with over 4,000,000 SF development area and 1.2 km coastline at the heart of city. The project features a total of 230 food & beverage and retail stores, units ranging from 200 to 20,000 SF.

Galataport Istanbul is poised to become the new gastronomy neighborhood of the city, with 40% of its leasable area reserved for food & beverage establishments. The project features numerous domestic and international brands that offer a wide selection of Turkish and world cuisines. It will also offer certification and inspection for the local food & beverage industry, enabling visitors to experience certified and hygienic street food in a safe manner.

Galataport Istanbul houses the finest works of modern art in Turkey with the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art designed by Renzo Piano and Mimar Sinan University Istanbul Museum of Painting and Sculpture.

Recently, Galataport was named as the “Port of the Year” by the SeaTrade Cruise Awards.
